Guillaume Martial was born in 1985 in Caen. After his studies in audiovisual in Paris, his short films were selected in several festivals in France and abroad. Guillaume
Martial then devoted himself to photography. His various projects question the place of man in the urban space. In 2012, he was a laureate of the SFR Jeunes Talents program and integrated the photographic mission France (s) Territoire Liquide. In 2015, he won the 20th HSBC Prize for Photography, with Maia Flore, and his Slap-Stick monograph was published by Actes Sud éditions. He now shares his time between personal works, educational interventions and films, often commissioned by public institutions.
