Ruri Matsumoto (born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1981) graduated from the Academy of Arts in Duesseldorf, Germany, in 2013 (Master with Prof. Katharina Grosse), and from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 2004. She took part in several group exhibitions and was nominated for art awards both in Japan and in Germany. She lives and works in Duesseldorf and will now benefit from the Artist in Residency program of the National Art Studio Goyang, Korea.
