She started painting about thirty years ago, attracted by a dreamlike and tormented world. As time went by, after hesitations about the brightness or the mattness of her paintings, she slipped towards a purified abstraction.
Born in 1965, she spent her childhood and adolescence in Saint-Cléré (Lot). After a year of studies in Applied Foreign Languages (LEA) in Toulouse, she went to the United States where she lived and worked for twelve years. She started painting in 1990.
She qualifies this period as "figurative". In search of freedom, in search of a language without borders, she quickly found her limits in the figurative. For the past fifteen years, she has devoted herself entirely to her art. Her work is mainly done with a knife and on the ground, without, for the most part, a preliminary sketch.
When she paints, she feels at one with herself.
