Silvia Inselvini was born in Brescia, in 1987.
She took her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Visual Arts, at the Academy of Fine Arts of Santagiulia, in Brescia, where she lives and works.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
"I am obsessed with time and its suspension. My work is methodical, based on the repetition of precise gestures, every time different according to the idea I am working on. The most important part of my work is the process itself, which is not just a mechanical repetition, but a new measure of time. Through this personal, cathartic meditation I pretend to control time and forget the transience of existence. The sense of absence that characterizes most of my works is not a subject of research, but only a dominant mental condition."
